I started using the Holosync meditation program in August 2007.  Up to just a few months before that I was not a very happy person and suffered from depression and anxiety attacks all of my life (literally - even as a child). Over the years I tried medication and (to be honest) booze, in futile attempts to just be able to get through the days.  I don’t want to mislead you.  As I mention elsewhere in these pages, I’ve had a pretty successful life with many rewards. I have a terrific wife (35 years and counting) who I adore and two great children. I have had many nice moments in my life.  But, fear and anxiety were my constant companions for as long as I can remember and I constantly wished that I was not here.

Around February of 2007, my wife became interested in The Secret after seeing Rhonda Byrne and some of the Teachers from the movie appear on Oprah. I’m curious by nature and I watched the movie...thought it was entertaining and interesting but shallow...but I read the book as well.   The book provided so much more insight to the truth of what life is all about and how to be at peace. More importantly, it helped focus in on the many Teachers that are in the world.  That’s when my life changed.

I began to do some research on the contemporary Teachers that were in the movie and book.  Being that they all have something to sell, it was pretty easy to find them all on the internet. I can only say I was “lead” to a few that I felt I wanted to spend my money on. They were not the ones that I originally “connected with” when I watched the movie like Bob Proctor, James Ray and Lisa Nichols .  Bob and Ray seemed more about how to be successful and make money.  I love money but that wasn’t my biggest concern in life. LIsa is a beautiful person and her path is awesome, but still not for me.

After searching around, I found Bill Harris’ Centerpointe site and thought it was interesting. I mentioned it to my wife and she said “i’ve always wanted to learn how to meditate”.  (We’ve been together for 35 years...I never knew this).  I Liked the idea of mediation, but even more I liked the promise from Bill that my life would change.  I could be at peace. So he, perhaps the teacher with the least presence in the film, became our first investment. I could not have made a better decision.

After we got started on the meditation we were looking for something more to carry us further into our seach.   That ended up being Mike Dooley.  His message is awesome and you can visit his site at www.tut.com .  As of this update (1-02-10) Mike has finally hit the big time and it’s great that his message is getting out there. More about Mike on another page  (yet to come).

Bill Harris is the founder of the Centerpointe institute and developed an amazing method of meditating through the use of sound waves.  Check out the links above or below for a very detailed movie of how this all works. This is not a “quick fix” and it takes a commitment of time on a daily basis. There are several levels that you go through over a period of years. But, the promise that this technology makes meditation simple is very true. You can even let your mind wander until you learn to still your thoughts.  After a while it becomes automatic and I find I can slip into a meditative state at almost anytime.

If I had any caveats they would be few.  One thing you may find happening is a temporary agitated feeling after you meditate or things from the past may come up that you would prefer to not think about.  Many people do not experience anything negative at all. I did each time I started a new level, but I followed Bill’s advice on how to deal with it.  As time went on, the rough spots lessened and now it’s a breeze to deal with them if they do happen. By the way, this happens when you practice traditional mediation methods also.  It’s not unique to Holosync.  Bill explains all of this in VERY GREAT detail and offers PLENTY OF HELP.

I am grateful to be alive. I am 57 (+) years old and have never, before 2007, said those words and certainly never believed the possibility could exist. Today they are part of my daily affirmations and are the heartfelt truth of a very thankful human being.

Holosync (meditation) will remain a daily practice for me throughout the rest of my life.
