These are some examples of the illustration and design work I’ve done over almost 30 years. I’ve worked at Whirley-DrinkWorks! (originally Whirley Industries, Inc.) all that time and have done thousands of pieces. Some simple, some more fun and elaborate. I started in the day when paste-up was done by hand...using hot wax and crude typestters.
There were no computers then. My main achievement (besides my amazing talent) was to introduce computers into our art production culture. Things were never the same after that.
I’ve had a great time making art almost everyday. I often feel like I am the luckiest man on earth. All of this art has been printed on drinking vessels of some sort...that is our specialty. There may be others out there in the industry that have been at this as long as I have. I suppose they feel the same gratitude that I do when I realize millions of people have purchased products that featured my artwork. It’s a great feeling. My only regret is that there were no royalties...ah well, I still feel like the luckiest man in the world!
